First post since August

Hello people who end up reading this post! I haven't blogged in months, and I thought I should probably change that. One good thing about being a geek is that not much of anything exciting happens if you forget to report on it. I could list all or some of the things that have happened in the last few months, but that would be really boring. I'm just going to try and blog once or twice a week for the heck of it. You don't have to read it, I just have nothing else to do.

P.S. Somebody changed the music in the Muppets video I posted in August! Why would they do that?

Penguins!!1!

Today I went to the Shedd Aquarium. I saw a lot of really cool fish/amphibians/reptiles. And penguins, which are birds! I uploaded a penguin picture to FB, because I have no life. I can't wait to get home on Monday! But I might as well enjoy Chicago while I'm here. Besides that, nothing to really post about. Then again, I don't think anyone reads my blog anymore due to no posts in forever, and boring posts when they do show up. So not a major loss.

Noooo, what???

I accidentally deleted my last post. I didn't have much to say anyway. Summer has been pretty good, but I want school to start soon. Today and yesterday I got to play violin for fourth graders, as part of convincing them to take a string instrument. I don't think it really sank in, but I can always hope. So, I'm pretty happy with my summer. Yay.

I haz a LOL. And fireworks. And an imaginary pet alpaca.

I'm going to teh fireworks today! I'm going to make a pros and cons list, because those are fun! EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!

Soooo much stuff has happened since my last post, but I am too tired to post about them now. BUT MICHAEL JACKSON IS DEAD! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can it be. This post is largely a tribute to Michael.RIP.

How sad is it that Americans struggle to use towels?

I haven't posted in forever!

I haven't posted in weeks, so I guess I'll post now. I spent the first two hours of summer break taking everything off of the walls in Mr. Houlihan's room. It was really awesome, because he is probably my favorite teacher ever. I was in Pennsylvania for a few days. I was t my grandfather's 50th reunion/folk festival. I got to meet Peggy Seeger and Ted Nelson. Google them. I watched the entire Lord of The Rings trilogy, epic win. But after seeing Golum bite off Frodo's finger, and a close up of an orc being disemboweled by a battleaxe, my parents wouldnt let me see Terminator Salvation. Instead, I went and saw Land of the Lost with Alex and Emma. The movie was pretty so-so, unfortunately. Alex wouldn't stop making weird finger animals and attacking Emma's watch (in that order) so it was pretty strange. RAHHHHHH, I WANT TO WATCH TERMINATOR!

Public Speaking? ME?

Apparently I am going to talk in front of strangers. We have a poetry cafe tomorrow in school, which is really dumb. At least I am not reading a poem that I wrote. I also spent some time after school picking out monologues and scripts in the drama room. The idea is to pick up scripts for next year's speech contest, so that we can practice over the summer. I don't think I can memorize a poem that isn't made up entirely of real words. Here is the poem "Jabberwocky" by Lewis Carrol.

Twas brillig, and the slithy toves

I have hereby founded CWYS. It is the Coalition to Watch Yellow Submarine. We are watching movies in Holdenla's class, but they need to be rated PG or G. I thought that a great G rated movie would be Yellow Submarine, but he said no. I don't think this coalition will do anything, but I am angry! This is more like the peaceful alternative to spamming his email.

Star Trek movie best thing EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just saw the Star Trek movie, and it is awesome! I would have seen it yesterday, but I was at a Rainbow Connection meeting. I can finally attend them because the play is over. I was at the farmer's market this morning, and that was awesome too! I got a sticker that says " War is unhealthy. Aren't you sick of it?" and some awesome buttons too. So happy!!!

Opening night

Yesterday was opening night! I am a techie, so I am pretty much dirt. I am treated as worse than a chorus member, and yet I am semi-important to the show not failing. Samantha a.k.a the cat, fell down as she was leaving the stage. This could possibly be my fault. On thursday, Mrs. Taber and I talked about putting a friction mat under that step. Unfortunately, neither of us remembered, So it's kind of my fault. Sorry. But one again, the Beatles have not decreased in awesomeness!

Today I went to Barkstall Elementary School to read to the little kids. You could say that I didn't have a positive experience. My reading buddies were a silent kindergardener, a stupid third grader, and an illiterate first grader. The illiterate one had to read a story to me, and it probably took him about a half hour. Soooooooooooooo boring. On the plus side, I only had three classes today. I am writing this in 7th hour, because I have writers block. I am helping out with the play at school. Ihave been building and painting the sets for three weeks. I also cleaned off the stage, which was really really hard! Two people and I lifted a 300 pound thingymabob down  the stairs and into a tiny room. I am a stagehand and I have to move stuff during the show. Holy crap, I just realized that I now have the ability to mess up the show by breaking something. Oh noes, I have responsibility not to mess up!!!

My new signoff!!! (pride is not always a bad thing)

I have a new signoff, or rather a lot of signoffs!!! My new signoff for comments is the pidgin word that google makes you type before you submit a comment. For the uneducated people, a pidgin is a word, series of words, or language that only exist on teh interwebs. I also plan to have another day without expressing strong feelings or opinions. It is probably good for me, like all of the other hard/painful things in the world. Oh and by the way, for those who know Troy: He loves to be called Angelina Ballerina, so call him that all the time.

My awful, horrible, no-good, very bad World Languages class

Well, that title is self explanetory. Anybody who is in that class with a brain will tell you that it is a class full of idiots. Well, that actually only means Molly, Brian, and me, but still. The teacher has no control over them. Idiots like Elle, Steve, and Antonio just run around the classroom, shouting and mocking her accent. The only work we actually do comes in the form of projects. We get a week to do them, but we usually finish on the first day. most people don't even do them, and they act really surprised when they find out that they need to present them. Grr, they do not improve my headache. On a higher note, the Beatles do not decrease in awesomeness because of them.

I iz in Georgia!

Yay, I am in Georgia. In Atlanta to be specific. Bowdacious String Band is playing a big thing here, so I came. I am part of the band. I am also tired. Long sentences fail me. The hotel coffee was horrible. But, my friends are here. All of them. In this lobby. Getting weird looks from the people staying here. Well, now I need to go to a rehersal. I could save this as a draft and finish it later, but I am too lazy. Well, bye. And try to look at the rant blog, even if it is boring.

Um, i can haz life back now plz?

You observant people may have noticed that I haven't posted on my blog in ages. This is mostly because I have been working on my Uni Essays. Remarkably, when you get writers block on one topic, it quickly spreads to all other forms of writing( kind of like cancer). But I found my muse(hiding under my bed, and giving me nightmares). Now I am pretty much done with all of my Uni stuff. I figured I might as well post while I still can. I wonder what I will do not that I have a life again. I *might* even stop being so antisocial. Maybe. It depends on how long it takes me to finish my book. I have managed to piss several people off in this two-week stint of being grumpy and antisocial. I am too proud and stubborn to apologize, so I will probably put a negative spin on the story and make them feel guilty. I might even manage to get them to apologize to me within a week. I probably shouldn't get a sadistic sense of accomplishment from that, but I do. HAHAHAH!

No email?

Today was the first day in a year since I have not gotten any email. Usually I get at least one email, even if it is a scam from a drug dealer in Lithuania. But nothing for me today. Maybe it is because I talk so much that people are tired of listening to me, or reading my emails. I am not upset by this at all. It's a good thing that I'm not insecure, or this could bother me. *sobs*

But at least people can't ignore me when I address questions straight at them. Maybe. 

Saturday

Last saturday my school did a performance thingy* at a local bookstore. Drama club and choir did some performance-ish** stuff, and art club put some of their art on display. I am in the drama club, and I kind of didn't fail, so that is a triumphant victory for me. I also got some new books. They are called The Portable Atheist and Iwo Jima. I can highly recommend both of them. The Portable Atheist is about atheism***, and Iwo Jima is about the capture of Iwo Jima in WWII.

I hope to post more often, because I can't find any legos. Without legos, my blog is the only thing close to having a life.

YAY!!! The polls are in!

A few weeks ago, I put a poll on my blog. Being forgetful, I haven't looked at the results until right now. Six people voted, and apparently 50% of the people answering my poll have never said a nice thing to me in my life. Being a pessimist, I am ignoring the other 50% that said they had just said something nice to me yesterday. I want all of the people who voted the mean way to say something nice to me in the next week. That probably won't happen, so I will have to figure out who did this and somehow punish them without getting beaten up. Unfortunately, I know a lot more than three people who have never said anything nice to me. What does this mean? NEW WORLD ORDER!!! I will send everybody who doesn't say nice things about me to a room where they have to listen to nonstop disco and read the Twilight series!!! DOOM!!! HAHA! HAHAHAHA!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH-Oh. Sorry for forgetting this was my post. Anyway, just be a better person and say something nice to someone every day. World peace is the real answer.  NOT HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

New Year

It's a new year, and I have some resolutions. I think if I share them with you, my readers, I will probably be more committed to them. And if I fail at my resolutions, I can take comfort in the fact that nobody reads my blog, and nobody cares what I say. 

1.I will stop drawing mustaches on every picture I see.

2.I will try to be nice to my sister.

3. I will become dictator for life of the entire universe and outlaw rap and skinny jeans!

4. I will not offend any foreign dignitaries, except maybe the ones from really tiny countries, like Andorra.

5. I will post more on my blog.
